Michihamono Premium 3mm Leathercraft Universal Edger Tool Leather Edge Beveler
Cut off square edges of your leather using this tool with a sturdy handle and a sharp blade to make smooth and rounded bevels suitable for burnishing and polishing.
This high-quality edge beveler from Michihamono is great for removing the square or rough corners from the edges of your leather. Made by renown wood carving tool makers, Michihamono, this excellent tool inherits the best traditions of Japanese wood carving tools and brings them to the leathercraft world. Unlike other edge bevellers, this tool is applicable for all thicknesses of leather, with the amount of leather removed dependent on the pressure and angle employed.
High-speed steel is used for the blade, which is hard and abrasion resistant as it contains tungsten, vanadium, and other alloying elements, and boasts reliable sharpness and durability, great material for leather cutting tools. The handle is made from Japanese zelkova wood, known for its strength and durability, ensuring this tool will last for many years. A brass ferrule is added to keep the handle from splitting and further securing the blade to the handle.
This tool eliminates the sharp square edges from your leather and leaving it with a rounded edge that is more comfortable to the touch and will not fray over time. Furthermore, a bevelled edge make sealing the edges simpler and longer lasting when burnished and edge-coated, significantly extending the longevity of your leather product.

Repeat the process on the other side of the leather to create a smooth and rounded edge. Take note: Applying different kinds of pressure can alter how much leather the tool will remove. To make a smooth and rounded edge, repeat the process on the opposite side of the leather.
