This tool has a 7.5mm wide cutting edge that is convenient for carving medium-sized wood designs and will clean deep wood corners easily.
Cleanly and smoothly carve your wood with this Japan made Michihamono straight skew chisel forged from superior Blue Paper Steel (Aogami No.2), that has a high chromium and tungsten content, a type of material used in high-end Japanese cutting tools that can be sharpened repeatedly to be used for many years. Connected in a handle made out of Japanese cypress that is designed to give the user comfort and great control when carving.
Mainly used in finishing deep corners where normal gouges and chisels cannot reach, its pointed blade is also useful for shaping curved edges. It can be used to smooth surfaces with lightly convex areas.
