This Tsuki Nomi v-gouge is a quality woodworking tool from Michihamono that creates separations on your wood carvings. It has a sharp blade made from White Paper Steel (Shirogami No. 2), a material that is ideal for fine Japanese cutting tools. This tool has great edge retention and is easy to re-sharpen. Combined with a wooden ergonomic handle made from cherry blossom wood that fits perfectly in the hand, and a ferrule at the end to prevent the handle from splitting.

This Tsuki Nomi has a sturdy shank and large ferrule that supports the blade in cutting sharp v-shaped grooves and straight channels on your wood. It is also useful for adding fur and hair texture and outlining wood carvings. A blade and handle size that fits between Michihamono’s socket hand tools and small hand carving tools, ensuring this tool can produce sharper cuts than full-sized socket tools can, yet is more durable than smaller hand carving tools.
