This mid-size, high quality wood carving skew chisel, made by Michihamono of Japan, is designed for carving in areas where normal square-ended gouges and chisels cannot reach. This tool is made from Blue Paper Steel (Aogami No.2) that went through many processes to create a blade that is strong and can be used repeatedly without easily losing its sharpness. The handle is made from Japanese cypress that provides comfort and can be used for a long time without causing fatigue.
This tool can be used for shaping edges left by a v-gouge and cleaning narrow corners of your wood. To cut wood in either direction, use it with the right skew chisel (sold separately).
