Michihamono Japanese Shortbent Tool Large 10.5mm Spoon Bent Wood Carving U Gouge, with Wooden Handle, to Carve Hollows in Woodworking
This woodcarving tool is used for cutting deep recesses and difficult areas of wood surface where straight gouge or long bent gouge is difficult to use.
This large, durable short bent spoon gouge is made by Michihamono, a renown Japanese company specialising in carving tools for sculpture and woodblock printing. Made from high-quality Blue Paper Steel (Aogami) No.2, which has added chromium and tungsten content, for increased strength and long-lasting sharpness, and a Japanese cypress wood handle that has a smooth finish and tapered design to carve your wood in comfort.
This tool is designed for carving deep recesses and creating a concave surface on the wood. Because the blade is short bent, it can be used in deep areas of the wood to create curves and arches with small radiuses.
