Our Shipping Policy:

We endeavour to ship all items quickly and promptly, to as many destinations around the world as possible. As we are strategically located in Tokyo, items are usually airlifted from Japan within 24 hours of being posted, however, conditions at the destination country may adversely affect delivery times, especially during periods of heighten security concerns or heavy volume (e.g., Christmas). Customs of the receiving country may also randomly screen packages which can delay the delivery of your order.

We, at Goods Japan, will do all we can to ensure that your package will clear customs quickly and with the minimum of difficulty. We are also are able to investigate the delay of any package on your behalf. Should you experience significant delays to the delivery of your order please contact us and our friendly support staff will do all we can to assist.

We offer free Economy Airmail (SAL) shipping for our entire product range to most postal destinations world wide (some exceptions apply). Please refer to the chart below for tracking details and estimated shipping times.

Shipping time special announcement:

While there is no official word from Japan Post at this time, we have unfortunately observed delays in the global postal transportation network and supply chains, owing to precautions taken by authorities worldwide in response to the recent spate of coronavirus cases. Despite this the Post Office both in Japan and overseas, continue to receive and deliver packages in most locations.

Therefore, we kindly ask for your patience as this disruption may delay deliveries by several days or even a few weeks. Please check local conditions for any news of postal disruption at your location. For our part, we will do our best to ensure your package is dispatched within one working day to minimise any possible delay.

To serve you better, we are constantly monitoring the situation and regret to report substantial delays or postal suspensions in the following locations, owing to quarantine efforts by authorities.

Please note, the delivery times quoted are for reference only, actual delivery times may be longer due to unforeseen delays with the post service, so please check local conditions before choosing your shipping option.

Expedited shipping (EMS courier service) is less subject to postal delays compared to economy or standard airmail and tracking numbers are provided at no additional charge. EMS shipping is available on request, so please contact us for a quote once you have decided on your items, but before paying for your items.

Delivery times do not include handling times at our fulfilment centre. We always endeavour to have orders posted within 48 working hours or less from the time we receive your order, but handling time can be up to five working days in extremely unusual circumstances.

Please note we generally combine orders wherever possible, however, orders of more than one item that exceeds two kilograms(4.41lbs) are usually sent in separate packages owing to postal restrictions. This does not apply to a product purchased as a single item that exceeds two kilogrammes.

We will do our best to entertain shipping requests, however, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to act on requests made once an order has been placed and paid for, as orders that are ready to ship may be dispatched before we receive or can act upon your request.

Our Payment Policy:

We’re pleased to offer a wide array of payment choices to our customers through our secure online checkout. We offer the following payment options:

For credit card and Paypal, simply proceed to checkout and select the checkout method of your choosing, enter your details and our secure systems, and that of our partners, will do the rest.

For bank transfer, please note that we offer bank transfer in a range of currencies, including Euros, US dollars, Canadian dollars, Australian dollars, and British pounds. We have bank accounts in Germany, the United States, Canada, Australia and the UK, so you are able to transfer locally without the expense of transferring money to Japan. Should you select this option, we will send you an invoice with instructions and how to transfer to our various bank accounts worldwide.

Our Return Policy:

Owing to the high cost of shipping and the nature of the products we sell, returns are usually not accepted. However, under certain circumstances it may be possible to make an exception and issue a return if the item you purchased is returned to us in an unused condition and in its original packaging. Therefore, if you feel you are not fully satisfied with a purchase, please contact us and we will do our best to resolve the issue for you. Please ensure that you contact us before returning any item as unannounced deliveries may be refused or subject to lost without proper preparation.

We stand behind every product we sell, therefore, should you feel an item has been misrepresented, or is not in the condition as promised, please let us know and we will promptly replace it or issue a full refund to ensure your satisfaction.

Our Environmental Policy:

At Goods Japan we strive to be as green as possible when it comes to the environment. Our goal is, wherever possible, to:

• Reduce waste,
• Challenge suppliers to reduce their environmental impact,
• Recycle packaging material,
• Reduce our emission impact and carbon footprint,
• Engage our customers in ways that are environmentally friendly.

In the interests of this we ask our suppliers not to use excessive packaging and to meet or exceed the environmental guidelines in the manufacture of their products. We also ask that items use the least possible packaging material. For our part, we endeavour to use the least amount of packaging materials and seek out recycled and unbleached paper products with the minimal amount of artificial packing material. Suppliers are asked to source humanely slaughtered and environmentally friendly animal products.

Please be assured that Japan has some of the most stringent environmental laws on the planet when it comes to waste management, emissions and manufacturing, so you can be rest easy in the knowledge that the products you buy at Goods Japan have sound environmental credentials.

Duties and Taxes:

Please note import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the price of our items. These additional costs vary depending on the destination country of the order and are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what, if any, these additional costs will be prior to making your purchase. These additional costs are usually comparable to the sales taxes and import duties you would pay for imported items in any bricks and mortar shop in your destination country. Some countries may have an import duty tax threshold, items with a value below this threshold may not be subject to tax, therefore staggering your purchases so they are shipped separately may reduce these additional costs. However, as we are unable to offer advice about duties and taxes, we cannot offer any guarantees in this regards and recommend you check with your tax office for more information.

We do not offer any service that can pre-pay customs fees, as the cost of these services often far exceed the actual cost of additional fees charged.

Please note, owing to heavy penalties for commercial fraud, we are unable to declare a lower value or mark items as 'gifts' on custom declaration forms or invoices.
