Create four evenly spaced stitching holes in your leather with this European-style pricking iron from Kyoshin Elle of Japan. Forged from excellent quality steel, this European leather stitch punch is made in Japan to the same high standards as other Kyoshin Elle pricking irons. This tool has a non-slip handle, keeping it from slipping from your hands during use. The size number is engraved at the end of the handle to make it easier for you to determine the right tool for your work. Available in 3mm, 4mm, 4.5mm, and 5mm sizes, and come in 1 prong, 2 prong, 4 prong, and 6 prong types (each sold separately).
This four-prong European style pricking iron is ideal for producing straight stitching lines and maintaining correct size continuity with previously punched sewing holes. This tool has flat, slanted prongs rather than diamond ones, to give your leatherwork a unique look.
Available prong numbers and sizes (each sold separately):
- Single Prong
- 2-Prong (3mm, 4mm, 4.5mm, 5mm)
- 4-Prong (3mm, 4mm, 4.5mm, 5mm)
- 6-Prong (3mm, 4mm, 4.5mm, 5mm)
Please note the prongs are designed to snap, rather than bend, to give ultimate hardness and prevent undetected bent prongs from ruining your leatherwork. Always use a soft headed hammer or mallet (never metal) and tap it into your leather work gently. When removing the prongs from your leather always pull it out of your leatherwork straight, never shift it side to side to loosen it or this could snap the prongs.
