Please note that you should always use a soft headed hammer (never a metal one) to gently tap it into your leatherwork, and that when removing it, you should always take it straight out of your leatherwork, not side to side, as this might break the prongs. Avoid using leather that is so thick that it is difficult to remove your pricking iron from your leather. A wider stitch punch is suggested if you work with leather that is thick enough to make removal difficult.
