To use this Takagi Japan Woodworking Square Head Milled Face Nail Puller Framing Hammer 21mm, simply hold the hammer near the end of its handle. Hold the nail near its head to avoid the hammer from hitting your fingers. Hit the head of the nail in a gradually accelerating swing. When prying nails, insert the nail head into the space between the claw of the hammer. Once it is embedded in the claw of the hammer, pry the nail until it is removed. You can also use a woodblock to increase leverage.
