You're looking at an 80 gram jar of alcohol-based Carving Dye (No. 3 on the color chart), which is ideal for highlighting crevasses, stampings, and carving. Alcohol dyes offer the advantage of faster drying periods and deeper penetration.

This quality Japanese made alcohol based leather carving dye is perfect for your next leathercrafting project, bring your carvings to life with this outstanding product. Each tub contains 80g of gel dye. Available in blue, maroon, tan, black, brown, red and dark brown.

To use this dye, simply use a toothbrush or gloved hands to rub this thick paste into carved or tooled leather, then wipe away the excess carving dye with a dry cloth. A moist cloth can be used to remove stubborn stains if necessary. Repeat as desired. Allow to dry after achieving the desired finish before buffing with a lint-free cloth and applying your favorite lacquer.

Please keep in mind that this gel dries fast, so wipe it off as soon as possible. This is a great technique to set your leather carving apart while also saving time that would otherwise be spent dyeing the leather.

This product is not suitable for leather repair, or to otherwise improve the cosmetic appearance of damaged leather.
