With this skew leather cutting knife by Michihamono, a renowned carving tool maker located in Japan, you can easily and smoothly cut your leatherwork. To ensure long-lasting sharpness and make it excellent for cutting leather, this tool is forged from premium special die steel, high carbon steel with a high level of hardness, strength, and wear resistance. T he handle of this tool is constructed of cherry blossom wood and is ergonomically shaped, making it comfortable to grasp and control during use.
When cutting leather, simply place your leather onto a cutting mat, then insert the appropriate corner of the blade into your leather and pull the knife towards you, twisting the blade in the direction you wish to cut. Ensure your blade is cutting the mat as well as your leather to ensure control and reduce the risk of slippage. When turning the knife around corners while cutting, pitch the handle of the knife away from you for more control, and when cutting in straight lines pitch the handle of the blade towards you for straighter lines and more efficient cutting.
