Note: The blade of this tool has only undergone one heat treatment.
To skive leather, place its flesh side up on a hard surface with the edge you want to skive facing away from you. Cut your leather outwards or across from where you want the skive to begin straight through to the edge of the leather, holding the knife with the bevel facing upwards and the edge of the blade facing in the same way as the edge of the leather.
