This firing kit is excellent for firing bronze clay, copper clay, PMC PRO and Accent Silver. Fine silver clays can also be sintered using this kit. Firing fine silver in carbon is a good way to incorporate low-fire cubic zirconia, lab and natural gems (including diamonds) that would change colour or be damaged if fired on an open kiln shelf.

Firing bronze clay, copper clay, PMC PRO and Accent Silver on a bed of activated carbon is a much easy process when using the PMC Pro Silver Clay Vessel Sinter Pan 165mm x 165mm x 110mm Firing Tray.

When using this stainless steel firing tray and lid, start by placing about 10mm of activated carbon on it before adding a layer of your PMC clay art creations before covering them with another layer of activated carbon. Cover the tray with the lid, and you will be ready for sintering. Ensure that you check the PMC’s instructions for the correct temperature.

If you notice ash deposits forming on the activated carbon, clean it by changing it from one container to another while keeping the height to a few centimetres. Do this for two to three times and do so outside as the air helps carry away the dust.
