Punch outstanding diamond shaped stitch holes in your leather with this leather pricking iron from Kyoshin Elle of Japan. The sharp prongs and polished surface of this leather craft tool helps it to penetrate leather more cleanly and professionally than the competition, maintaining the shape of holes in the leather and helping you to create a more beautiful stitch line. This pricking iron, unlike others, is intended to pierce leather rather than simply mark it, eliminating the need for an awl and drastically reducing the time it takes to produce stitch holes. Use this tool to punch stitch holes in your work so that you may sew uniform, evenly spaced, and symmetrically slanted stitches.

This stitch punch is ideal for punching straight lines on smaller leather items or stitch lines since it has three prongs. This tool's prongs have been quenched and thoroughly tempered, resulting in outstanding hardness and long-lasting sharpness. The knurled handle of this tool avoids slippage and provides a pleasant grip, making leather punching safer and more convenient.

Approximate Dimensions & Product Data:

  • Material: Tool Steel
  • Compatible size: 5mm

Available prong numbers and sizes (each sold separately):

  • 1-Prong (3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm)
  • 2-Prong (3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm)
  • 3-Prong (3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm)
  • 4-Prong (3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm)
  • 6-Prong (3mm, 4mm, 5mm)

The prongs on this tool are sturdy yet somewhat brittle, which means they will break if damaged. Because bent prongs might possibly harm your leatherwork by generating permanent uneven thread holes, this feature is advantageous. To prevent damaging the tool, use soft-faced hammers and pull it straight out of the leather rather than moving it side to side, since this may cause the prongs to break. It's not a good idea to use this tool on thick leather that will be tough to remove, and a large size is recommended.
