This Mokuhanga Fundamentals book was created through the collaboration of Michihamono and Terry McKenna, an Australian woodblock printing artist presently based in Karuizawa. This book is written in full English with easy-to-understand explanations and information about woodblock printing.
Terry McKenna, before running his own studio in Karuizawa, was trained by Mr. Richard Steiner, a woodblock artist living in Kyoto. Following that, he also traveled back and forth between Australia and Japan, teaching people about the art of woodblock printing.
The book is 160 pages long and contains over 400 images as well as 35 hand-drawn illustrations.
