Punch evenly spaced stitch holes with this quality diamond point leather pricking iron from Oka of Japan. This tool is tempered for increased toughness and each prong is sharpened individually to ensure you will have professional-looking stitch holes and a long-lasting tool. This specially made hand sewing tool produces diamond-shaped holes, which are ideal for hand leather stitching. This tool's handle has a non-slip finish, allowing you to grasp it comfortably while working on your leather project.

Use this 4-prong leather stitch punch to create long, consistent professional-grade stitching holes in your leather. The size is engraved at the end of the handle to easily determine the size you need for your work. After making the first set of stitch holes, put the end prong of the pricking iron on the last hole to make the next set of holes evenly spaced.

Size (space between tips of prongs):

  • 5.5mm

Available prong numbers (each sold separately):

  • 2-prongs
  • 4-prongs
  • 5-prongs

Please note that you should always gently tap it into your leatherwork with a soft-head hammer, and that you should always remove it straight out of your leatherwork rather than twisting it side to side to loosen it, as this may cause the prongs to snap. It's best to avoid using leather that's too thick for this tool. If you're working with leather that's thick enough to make removal difficult, you'll need a larger pricking iron. The prongs of this tool are tempered, which makes them incredibly robust yet brittle, so they will break off rather than bend if they are overstressed. This is by design, as cheaper pricking irons' bent prongs bend rather than break, possibly harming your leatherwork by causing permanent uneven stitch holes if the bent prongs are not noticed.

Keep out of the reach of children.
