This tool is used to punch holes in the shape of a diamond, which is ideal for sewing leather. This single-prong tool is intended for punching corner holes, going around corners, evening out the correct number of holes, and ensuring proper size continuity with previously punched holes.
This single-prong pricking Iron has the same blade as other 3mm Seiwa / Kyoshin Elle Stitching Punches and Nippers that create nine holes per inch or four holes per centimetre. Recommended for small cases, handbags, and watch bands, as well as other applications requiring precise stitching.
This high carbon steel tool is crafted to the best quality in Japan and will last for many years. Available in 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 prongs that are spaced in 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, and 6mm sizes.
Please remember to always use a soft-headed hammer and gently tap this tool into your leatherwork. When removing, please take it out straight, never shifting it side to side to loosen it as this might break the prongs. Avoid using leather that is so thick that it is impossible to remove. A broader pricking iron is advised if you work with leather that is thick enough to make removal difficult.
Please note the size is compatible with other 3mm Seiwa / Kyoshin Elle Stitching Punches and nippers, 1.5mm Craft Sha Pricking Irons, or other nine holes per inch diamond hole pricking irons only.
