This quality Shapton Kuromaku moss-colored ceramic whetstone is great for quickly and evenly restoring a dull edge. Kuromaku is the world's first sharpening stones that are color-coded, each representing a different grit. The plastic case that is included not only used to store the stones but can also be used as a base when sharpening. These ceramic stones are waterstones but can also be used as oilstones.

You can sharpen a blade edge swiftly and evenly with this Shapton Ceramic Stone. The grain size of this ceramic Japanese sharpening stone is 220, which is fairly coarse. Almost every type of knife can be sharpened with this stone including kitchen knives, chisels, pocket knives, and more.

With every Shapton Kuromaku sharpening stone, you can start sharpening by just sprinkling a little water on the stone. You'll notice how rapidly the stone eliminates debris. This allows you to get results immediately while also reducing the time it takes for the stone to wear down. Clean the stone with water and let it dry after each usage. Let the stone to dry naturally and put it back in the storage box when it has completely dried.
