This Craft Sha Fude Pen Medium is a refillable, pen-style dye applicator designed specifically for use with craft dyes on leather. Manufactured in Japan by Craft Sha, one of Japan's most trusted leathercraft brands, this tool eliminates the interruption of repeatedly reloading a traditional brush by delivering craft dye on demand directly to the brush tip. The semi-transparent body lets you monitor dye colour and remaining volume at a glance, while the firm brush tip is engineered with the correct stiffness for clean, even application on leather surfaces. Sold as a set of 2 pens, it is well suited to both beginners and experienced craftspeople working on detailed leathercraft projects.
It is used for dyeing leather surfaces, filling in carved or stamped pattern areas with colour, and finishing leather edges. The medium size, with a tip length of approximately 12mm, provides versatile coverage suited to most leathercraft dyeing tasks, including background flooding, pattern area colour filling, and applying dye to curved edges. It is equally practical in classroom or workshop settings, allowing ready-to-use dyeing without the need to prepare a separate dye dish or clean up between sessions.

To use, unscrew the brush tip section from the body. The body functions as a squeeze dropper. Squeeze and release repeatedly to draw your prepared craft dye into the body reservoir to the required level. Reattach the brush tip by screwing it securely back onto the body. Press the "PUSH" area of the body slowly and in stages several times to feed dye down into the brush tip before starting work. Begin applying dye to your leather project. If the tip runs dry during use, press gently again to replenish. When finished, replace the cap securely and store upright, tip facing upward. Note: pressing the body too forcefully may cause dye to overflow from the brush tip. This product is designed for use with water-based craft dyes only. Use of alcohol-based dyes is not recommended, as they may cause deformation or damage to the pen components. Dedicate one pen per colour, as dye cannot be fully removed once absorbed.
The brush tip and body can be rinsed with water, but complete removal of dye pigment is not achievable. For this reason, it is strongly recommended to assign one pen permanently to one colour. Store with the cap secured tightly and the pen standing upright, tip upward, away from direct sunlight. The product is a consumable and will degrade over time depending on usage and storage conditions. Keep out of the reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes and skin during use; wash thoroughly with water if contact occurs.
