This reversed leather stitch punch from Oka is great for producing professional-looking stitch holes for your leathercraft quickly and easily. This tool's prongs have been tempered for improved strength, making it great for leathercrafting. This tool has a knurled handle for a secure grip and comfort when using it, which is important if you spend a lot of time sewing holes in your leather projects. To produce symmetrical stitch designs in your work, use this tool in combination with a regular diamond hole punch (each offered separately).

Use this 6-prong reversed blade hole punch to make six evenly spaced and sized diamond-shaped holes in a long, straight line in your leather.

Size (space between prongs):

  • 3mm

Available prong numbers (each sold separately):

  • 2-prongs
  • 4-prongs
  • 6-prongs

This tool's prongs are highly tempered, making them incredibly robust yet brittle, so overworked prongs will break off rather than bend. This is by design, as lower-quality pricking irons' bent prongs bend more rapidly, possibly ruining your leatherwork by causing permanent uneven stitch holes if not noticed. The highly tempered prongs of this superb tool have a dual purpose: they protect your leatherwork from uneven stitching by breaking instead of bending when overstressed. Protecting you against uneven tool stitching while also offering longer-lasting tips that require less sharpening and have a higher piercing force.

Please remember that this tool's professional nature demands extra caution. To gently tap it into your leatherwork, always use a soft-headed hammer (never a metal one). When removing it from your leatherwork, pull it straight out, never turning it side to side to loosen it, since this might break the prongs. Use leather that is not so thick that it is difficult to remove. If you're working with leather that's thick enough to make removal tough, you'll need a larger pricking iron. Please keep this tool away from other tools and items, and avoid dropping or hitting it against a hard surface.
