This Seigen Wakamusha Marukubi Yari Ganna is a premium 2-piece Japanese spear plane set crafted for woodworkers who need precise control when working in tight spaces. The distinctive spear-point blade reaches deep into corners where conventional planes cannot, making it ideal for fine joinery and mortise cleanup. Each plane is forged with traditional craftsmanship to provide smooth and accurate performance.

These planes are widely used by timber framers, cabinetmakers, and restoration specialists. They are suited for detailed shaping, deep recess smoothing, and finishing hard-to-reach internal corners. The long, round neck (marukubi) offers improved grip and extended reach, allowing the user to approach the work from varied angles with excellent control.

To use, position the spear blade into the desired carving point and push or pull as needed for the shape. The narrow profile allows access into fine cavities. A shallow angle works best for steady removal. Hold the handle firmly to control the tip and avoid sudden movements.

Wipe the blade clean after each use and apply a light coat of oil to prevent corrosion. Store in a cool and dry place. Handle with care as the blade is extremely sharp. Keep out of reach of children.
