This high quality, Japanese brass and stainless steel try set square is the perfect addition to your carpentry toolkit. Great for ensuring your wood work and carpentry are accurately measured and are at exact right angles.

The dimensions of this product are:

  • Stand: 90 x 12 x 6mm,
  • Ruler part: 170 x 12 x 1.5mm,
  • Weight: 89g,
  • Materials: Brass and stainless steel,

To use, simply put the try square ruler across the material you want to mark or test. The wider part of the handle should extend over the edge of the surface, allowing the ruler to lie flat across the surface. Hold the handle against the edge of the material. The ruler is now at a 90° angle compared to the edge. Find where you want to mark the material by adjusting the ruler. Using the ruler's edge, draw a line across the material. To check if the board is square, align the ruler with the end of the material you're measuring, making sure the corner of the material lines up with the corner of the try set square. If there’s a gap between the try set square and the material you wish to measure this indicates the material is not square.

Quality made in Japan. Please note, only centimetres are depicted on the ruler.
