This dual-ended Japanese genno hammer is perfect for driving nails and striking chisels since it has a flat face on one side and a convex face on the other. High-quality stainless steel is used to forge the head, which is securely attached to a solid wooden handle that is comfortable to hold and offers a firm grip for an effective and controlled striking force. A wonderful addition to your woodworking tools that will offer reliable service.

This Japanese hammer's flat end can be used to drive the nail in up to its neck, while the slightly curved end is used to sink the head of the nail below the surface of the wood without damaging its surroundings. The flat end can also be used for striking chisels as well as adjusting the blade of a Japanese plane (kanna).
