PMC3 is a precious metal clay manufactured in Japan by Mitsubishi Materials. It is composed of fine silver particles combined with an organic binder and water. When fired, the binder burns away, leaving a finished item of 99.9% fine silver.

The clay can be shaped, cut, rolled, or stamped while in its unfired form, making it suitable for creating jewellery pieces such as rings, pendants, beads, and earrings. After firing, it shrinks by approximately 10–15%.

A 15g packet of PMC3 contains 15g of silver (16.7g including binder). The clay can be fired at different settings depending on project needs: 700°C for 10 minutes, 650°C for 20 minutes, or 600°C for 30 minutes. These lower temperature options allow compatibility with heat-sensitive components.

The material consists of approximately 90% metal powder with the remaining 10% being water and organic binder. This composition allows the clay to be moulded with standard jewellery tools and household items before firing.

To preserve unused clay, lightly moisten it with water, rewrap in plastic film, and store in a sealed container to prevent drying. Once fired, the finished silver can be polished or further refined using standard jewellery techniques.

Please note: Keep out of the reach of children. Wash hands thoroughly after use.
