This outstanding, small wood carving short bent skew chisel from Michihamono of Japan, features a long, smooth wooden handle made from Japanese cypress that is light and smooth, making it easy to hold and comfortable to work with, and a Blue Paper Steel (Aogami) No.2 blade that is durable and strong because of the added tungsten and chromium. This type of steel is used in making high-end Japanese cutting tools.

Its cutting edge is flat at the end to smooth out wood surfaces and a bent shank that is skewed to the right, allowing the tool to access deep corners of the wood for cleaning and finishing purposes. This tool is best used in high relief carving as its unique blade is perfect for this kind of work.
